Our Soap Ingredients
What carefully selected ingredients do we put in our Malindi Lilly soaps and why are they good for you?
ACTIVATED CHARCOAL POWDER
Is fantastic for oily skin as it can pull away unwanted excess oils, leaving it smooth and subtle. Its ability to absorb oil and dirt from pores leaves skin feeling clean and fresh. It provides the gentle exfoliating and deep cleans your skin. In soap form, charcoal is slightly gritty, which might provide just the gentle exfoliation you need. It will also absorb oils and toxins on and below the skin which helps eliminate acne.
AVOCADO OIL
Is jam-packed with vitamins A, B, D and E, antioxidants which make it healing as well as moisturising. This oil leaves the soap with a high percentage of fatty acids which gives it a moisturising punch.
ALMOND SWEET OIL
Is high in vitamin E, antioxidants and proteins. This oil is deeply soothing to inflamed skin and helpful for chapped skin rashes. It contributes to a stable lather, conditioning and moisturising and helps skin maintain a glowing complexion.
BENTONITE CLAY
This clay is often used to increase lather in soap bars. It has the added benefit of being a natural detoxifier. Bentonite clay binds with and removes toxins from your body, and it’s extremely eco-friendly.
CARROT JUICE
Carrots get their characteristic orange colour from B-carotene which results in a high concentration of vitamin A. Beta Carotene helps your skin to stay moisturised, especially when it comes to dry skin types. It also reduces fine lines and wrinkles and protects your skin from UV rays.
CASTOR OIL
Rich in fatty acids and effective for adding a fluffy and stable lather. Castor Oil also draws moisture from the air onto the skin, which makes it great for moisturising and conditioning..

COCOA BUTTER
Is an excellent skin moisturiser, plus it does more than just hydrate the skin — it helps actually heal it from the inside too. It contains natural antioxidants and it also contributes to the soap’s hardness.
COCONUT OIL
This oil is rich in emollient fat and is extremely moisturising. It is solid at room temperature but easily melts on the skin. Coconut oil protects the skin from the elements by forming a thin film, which is not absorbed. In addition to being super-cleansing it also produces big, luscious bubbles.
